The teaser trailer is here!

I was going to post this tomorrow, but I wanted an excuse to post because I’ve got problems here! Are there any Final Cut experts in the audience?

I opened Final Cut today, and got an error message that reads “This project is unreadable or may be too new for this version of Final Cut” I’m trying not to panic. I’m trying to to think about the large amount of work that I will have lost if this file is actually corrupted.

I’ve found lots of forum threads where people have found solutions, but none of them work for me. Their problems are all related to moving a file to a different computer, drive, or version of the software. No explanation of what to do if you’re using the same file with the same setup in the same software on the same computer.

Now, fear not. The scenes that are already done are safe, as long as I don’t decide to edit them. They’re exported as video files. But it will mean a couple of day’s work reediting the live action and voices for the handful of scenes that aren’t done. And it’ll mean a much harder time editing the movie together when all the scenes are done.

If anyone knows a solution, or is knowledgable enough to help me find one, please email me at ryan@ryanestrada.com

What do you guys want?

thanhly:

If someone is nice to you, they’re fake or annoying. If someone is blunt, they’re mean and rude. If someone cares for you, they’re too emotional. So what the hell do you want?

Brilliant animator and illustrator Pasquale D’Silva wanted to travel the world, so he put forth the following proposal: You pay for airfare and survival expenses, and he’ll come to you and barter his creative skills in return. If you think that’s insane, it gets even more zany: It worked! So far he’s been to New York, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, and Vancouver, to name a few. Some recent projects he’s helped out include Forrst and Carbonmade, but personally we’re most impressed with upgrades he made to TumblrBot’s human emotion chip.
